Previous Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi-drove NDA government over the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) moving a record high overflow of over Rs 1.76 lakh crore to the Center.

Taking to microblogging website Twitter, the Gandhi scion shared a media report on the issue and blamed the focal government for "taking from RBI". Focusing on Prime Minister Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Congress MP said that "PM and FM are confused".

The tweet by Rahul Gandhi read, "PM and FM are ignorant regarding how to unravel their self made financial fiasco. Taking from RBI won't work - it resembles taking a Band-Aid from the dispensary and staying it on a shot injury."

On Monday, the RBI had endorsed the exchange of Rs 1.76 trillion to the legislature. The move is planned for helping the legislature in animating the economy without financial slippage.

An authority told news office Reuters that the legislature would get 1.48 trillion rupees ($20.70 billion) from the Reserve Bank of India in the monetary year finishing off with March 2020, over 64% against the planned objective of 900 billion rupees.

The legislature had just got Rs 280 billion from the national bank in March. The RBI had paid Rs 680 billion as profit to the legislature in the past monetary year.

Congress media boss Randeep Singh Surjewala likewise focused on the legislature over the issue, naming the move as a "monetary harakiri". He addressed whether it was sheer happenstance that the Rs 1.76 lakh crore acquired by the RBI matches with the "missing sum in the Budget count". He further implied that the cash was to "spare BJP's colleague companions".
